The Magic Roundabout Transcript

In the excerpt from 'The Magic Roundabout' that I chose, Ermantrude (the cow) believes that she is a bus, much to the annoyance of the other characters, particularly the train.  The video of the whole epiode is below.

Ermantrude: *drum roll* roll up roll up i have a special announcement to me everyone to me come along don't be shy (.) now where is everyone? never here whan you want them (.) to me everyone to me (.) oh dear *drum roll and breaks drum skin*

narrator: oh dear (.) dylan arrived to see what all the fuss was about and he asked ermantrude to give him a ride

Ermantrude: you will have to pay dear

Dylan: pay?

Narrator: said Dylan

Dylan: like uh pay? (.1) pay?

Ermantrude: of course

Dylan: oh no man why pay?

Ermantrude: im a bus (.1) now get off (she leaves)

Narrator: Dougal decided to take action

Dougal: now wait a moment

Narrator: he said

Dougal: now wait just one moment (.1) whats all this about being a bus?

Brian: oh are you a bus?

Narrator: said Brian

Brian: whats your number?

Ermantrude: i'm a twelve

Narrator: said Ermantrude

Ermantrude: *sings* let's all go down the strand

Dougal: poor old thing (.) thinks she's a bus

Narrator: Florence arrived

Florence: oh (.) hello

Narrator: she said (.10) the train stopped

Train: hello

Ermantrude: oh (.) oh hello old thing

Train: and what might you be doing if i may make so bold (.1) madame

Ermantrude: I'm a bus (.) a number 12 *sings* o-h lets all go down the strand

Train: er may i have a word?

Ermantrude: of course

Narrator: said Ermantrude

Ermantrude: any amount dear thing

Narrator: the train got rather agitated

Train: i want no buses on my patch

Narrator: she said (.) acidly

Ermantrude: oh come now

Narrator: said Ermantrude (.1) but the train wouldn't listen (.) and she went off in a huff

Train: buses indeed

Narrator: she said

Train: whatever next?

Ermantrude: oh dear

Narrator: said Ermantrude

Ermantrude: no wonder she was nationalised (.1) ah well (.) i'll just have to show her
